Intelligent Transportation System for Safety by using Wireless Sensor Network
Abstract— This research work is desired that the special events related traffic prediction and performance can be measured so that the traffic issues can be enhanced via some conventional methods < Final Year Projects 2016 >types >such as a transitory traffic signal timing regulation. We have adopted the Kalman filtering algorithm for prediction of transportation system for safety and simulation results are explained by free open source JTossim tool. The wireless sensor networks dataset are used to collect waiting time of transportation systems and accidents detection parameters. Based on the real-time data collected, a discrete-time Kalman filter algorithm is applied to forecast travel time. The performance is measured by predicting shortest route in Tossim.
