Abstract— Power quality improvement of a permanent-magnet-synchronous-generator-based diesel generator (DG) set feeding three-phase loads using a static compensator (STATCOM). A three-leg voltage-source converter (VSC) with a capacitor on the dc link is used as a STATCOM.
