Product Description
Abstract—Grid Computing is an evolution of parallel and distributed computing that enables sharing of resources among the users of virtual organizations across the world. The core purpose behind evolution of Grid is to utilize the idle resources. The resource providers who lend their resources for usage are always interested in optimum utilization of their resources. < Final Year Projects > The resource consumers have keen interest in successful execution of their jobs within minimum cost and time. To satisfy both the Grid users, a multi-criteria based scheduling approach has been proposed using Elitist Multi-Objective Bacteria Foraging Evolutionary Algorithm. The performance of the proposed work is contrasted with other Multi-objective mechanisms like Multi-objective Particle Swarm Optimization, Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm-II and Grid’s conventional mechanisms like Min-min & Max-min on ALEA 3.0 simulator. The proposed approach has been found to be a viable solution for handling conflicting multi-objective optimization problems in Grid scheduling.
