Rider Fatigue Detection and Speed Control Using Smart Helmet
Abstract-Driver drowsiness is one of the major causes of Road accidents. The proposed system presents a helmet based nonintrusive Drowsiness recognition method using Brain wave signals with the help of EEG. Brain wave signals are continuously monitored to find the fatigue level of the rider by Eye blinking/eye closure. On sensing the fatigueless of the rider, if the rider is sleepy the speed control of the engine can be done by advanced control algorithms until the rider is alerted using a buzzer system and the also can be informed to a nearby control room with the help of GSM technology. The Engine speed control can be achieved using Conventional speed control techniques. The simulations will be done using MATLAB software.
